I grew up in California before moving to Charlotte, NC in 1993 at the age of 14. I went to Independence High School and graduated in 1997. I then went on to UNC-Charlotte where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. My love for photography began in December 2005 when I came upon POTN. I was looking for information on cameras, namely a Canon Digital Rebel XT, for my wife, as our daughter was quickly approaching 9 months of age and our current camera didn't cut it anymore. POTN changed my view of photography for forever. I was immediately hooked, soaking up as much knowledge as I could. I still learn something just about everyday and I try to put it all to good use. I began shooting sports in the summer of 2007 for a men's slow-pitch softball league as a way to get into sports photography. The more games I shoot the more I want to do this for a living.
